Hot Coral Sombrero Coneflower
General Information
Hot Coral Sombrero Coneflower is a great plant for your landscape. It is great in borders, flower beds, or any kind of garden area. The plant grows as a lower mound of foliage, with flowers extending on stems above. The foliage and stems have a nice green color that lasts all through the growing season. The flowers have daisy-like oval shaped individual petals. The petals are deep pink in color, trimmed with orange at the end. The petals surround an orange-brown center cone. These flowers bloom from late spring through the summer. The flowers are great for attracting butterflies, hummingbirds and bees. Great for flower arrangements!
Additional Information
Echinacea purpurea ‘Balsomcor’ grows to a height of 20 to 26 inches, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. It does best when grown in full sunlight. Hot Coral does best when grown in well drained soils, with adequate amounts of moisture, but is adaptable to a range of conditions. Once established, it exhibits a good deal of drought tolerance. Keep in mind that shipping size and height are an average of our plants and can vary by season.
