Honeygold Apple

General Information

Honeygold Apple is a great choice for your home orchard. While they are known for there great fruit, it has nice ornamental appeal as well! The flower clusters bloom in abundance in the springtime, bright white in color. The apples mature to a golden-yellow color, with a reddish blush. They have a similar flavor to golden delicious, with a nice touch of honey flavor! The apples are great for desserts or fresh eating. They ripen late September to early October. Honeygold pollinates well with Cortland or Empire Apple trees.

Additional Information

Malus ‘Honeygold’  grows to a height of 15 to 20 feet, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for USDA planting zones 4 to 7.  It does best in full sunlight.  Honeygold does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.  This tree was developed in Minnesota, and has very good cold hardiness.
