General Information

Honey Roasted False Indigo is a delightful perennial plant. It is a taller perennial, reaching 3.5 feet tall. This plant will have a nice upright form, with flowers held above the foliage. The Honey Roasted False Indigo will be a great choice for a variety of landscaping areas. The foliage will be a nice blue-green in color. This will give the plant an attractive appearance through the growing seasons. The flowers will emerge mahogany in color, with yellow accents, before maturing to yellow. They will bloom in abundance from late spring to early summer.  The flowers are great for attracting butterflies and other pollinators.

Additional Information

Baptisia ‘Honey Roasted’ will be 3 to 3.5 feet tall, with a spread of 3.5 to 4 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. Honey Roasted False Indigo can grow well in full to partial sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils. Once established, it is said to have good drought tolerance.
