Hardy Pampas Grass

General Information

Purplish-bronze plumes bloom on the  Hardy Pampas grass from mid summer through fall.  The plumes turn silvery-gray in the fall.  Narrow, green leaf blades have thin white stripe down the center. This is more hardy than traditional pampas grass. This attractive grass makes a wonderful accent plant for any landscape. The clump forming foliage forms a wonderful screen or property border. Can be used around the periphery of a patio. Use the attractive plumes in cut flower bouquets.

Additional Information

Erianthus ravennae grows best in Full Sun.  It will grow 8 to 10 feet tall with a spread of 5 to 8 feet. Plant in zones 4 to 9. Deer resistant. Tolerates black walnuts.

Care & Shipping Notes

Easy to grow in dry to medium, well drained soil.  Will NOT tolerate moist or fertile soil and may cause the plant to require staking.  No serious insect or disease problems. Water and fertilize regularly.  Cut back in early spring before the new shoots appear. NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI. Also, WE NO LONGER SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
