General Information

Grey Head Coneflower is a native perennial plant. This plant can grow to be quite large, reaching up to five feet tall. It is native to a broad range of the plains states to the east coast. The Grey Head Coneflower would be a great choice for a wildflower garden or pollinator area of your landscape. The leaves are smaller and a nice medium green in color. The flower petals are bright yellow, drooping downwards. They will typically be in bloom for a long period in the summer. The center cone is grey, maturing to a deep brown in color.

Additional Information

Ratibida pinnata will be 3 to 5 feet tall, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8. Grey Head Coneflower tends to do best when planted in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
