Goldflame Spirea
General Information
Goldflame Spirea features burgundy-red new leaves that turn golden yellow as they mature. Copper-orange tones add to the beauty of the fall foliage. Goldflame is similar to Goldmound, but grows taller and more upright. Clusters of soft, pink flowers bloom on new wood and add to the beautiful summer display. Great accent plant or foundation planting. Plant in mass for a shrub border or informal hedge. Use along slopes or ditches to help control erosion.
Additional Information
Spiraea bumalda ‘Goldflame’ grows in Full to Part Sun. It will grow 2 to 3 feet tall with a spread of 3 to 4 feet. Plant in zones 3 to 8. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Heat and pollution tolerant.
