Golden Mop Falsecypress

General Information

Golden Mop Falsecypress is an ornamental shrub.  This dwarf sized plant is perfect for a wide variety of landscaping areas.  The plant gets its name from its similar appearance to a mop.  This shrub grows in an overall mounded form, and is quite slow growing.  The leaves are longer and drooping.  It is narrow and thread-like in nature.  The foliage is golden-green, holding its color nicely throughout the year. 

Additional Information

Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘Golden Mop’ will grow to a height of 3 to 5 feet, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 7.  Golden Mop can be grown in full to partial sunlight.  It does well with average to moderate amounts of moisture in well drained soils.  It is not known to have any serious insect or disease issues.
