General Information
Golden Gourmet Beets are a great addition to your vegetable garden! They are an heirloom selection from Renees Gardens seed company. The beets are quite nice, with a golden-yellow color. The beets will have a rounded shape with sweet, mild taste. The Golden Gourmet Beets are great if baked, steamed, in salad or a variety of other uses. The green tops will also make great tasting greens. These beets will grow well, reaching maturity in approximately 55 days. Each seed packet will contain 90 to 100 seeds, weighing 0.8 grams.
Additional Information
The seeds are best started outdoors, once the chance for hard frost has passed. Depending on the climate, they can be planted from February to June for spring and August to September for the fall crop. The seeds should be planted at a depth of .5 inch, spaced 1 inch apart. The seeds will typically germinate in 5 to 10 days.
