Description

Ginko Craig Hosta

General Information

The Ginko Craig Hosta features narrow, elliptical leaves. The dark green leaves have narrow, white margins. Scapes of purple flowers bloom above the foliage in late summer. The beautiful foliage of this hosta makes an excellent accent plant for your garden or landscape. Use as a filler around other plants in your perennial garden.  Great way to cover the foliage of dying spring bulbs. The Ginko Craig works well in containers or as a mass planting for borders and edging.  Great for woodland gardens, or around the base of large trees. The flowers attract hummingbirds

Prefers rich soil but will tolerate a variety of soil types including clay and sandy.  No serious insect or disease problems.  Leaf spots and crown rot may be problems. Slugs can cause damage to hostas.  Treat with slug bait in early spring.   Mulch to prevent winter heaving and to retain moisture in summer heat. Remove dead foliage in the spring to help eliminate the presence of slugs.  NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI.  WE DO NOT SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
