General Information
Gangbusters Spinach is a great addition to your vegetable garden. These organic seeds are an exclusive selection from Renees Garden seed company. This is a vigorous, fast growing spinach that tends to do better in warm weather conditions than others. The leaves are larger in size, oval shaped and deep green in color. The leaves are thick and juicy, with a nice, mild, sweet overall flavor. The leaves should be trimmed once they are 4 to 5 inches tall and will tend to produce two to three crops. Gangbusters Spinach is great for salads or a variety of culinary uses. Each seed packet will weigh 4 grams, containing approximately 500 seeds.
Additional Information
Gangbusters Spinach can be planted once the threat of hard frost has passed. It can be planted from February to May for spring harvest or August to September for fall harvest. The seeds should be planted 1/2 inch deep, spaced 1 inch apart. Once the seeds have been established, thin to 5 to 6 inches. They should germinate in about 5 to 10 days. The plants should reach mature size in approximately 35 to 40 days.
