General Information
Five Variety Blend Heirloom Mesclun Lettuces are a great addition to any spring garden. This is an exclusive heirloom, organic variety of seeds from Renee’s Garden seed company. The leaves of lettuce provide a mix of color, flavors, shapes and sizes to enjoy. The lettuce varieties included are: Troutback, Blush Butter Cos, Red Ruffled Oak, Red Devil’s Tongue and Sucrine lettuce. This is a ‘cut and come again’ variety of lettuce. Harvest when the leaves are 4 to 5 inches tall. The leaves should regrow for the chance of more harvests.
Additional Information
The seeds should be planted in the early spring, typically broadcast by hand. Try to space the seeds half an inch apart, covered by a quarter inch of soil. They will typically germinate in 7 to 14 days. The first harvest should occur in approximately 35 to 40 days.
