Description

Fire Alarm Coral Bells

General Information

Fire Alarm Coral Bells is a very nice perennial plant.  It is great in borders, containers and a variety of shady landscape areas.  This plant forms as a moderate sized mound of foliage, with flowers above.  Flowers grow on reddish stems, growing 13 to 15 inches tall.  The small flowers are bell shaped and are pink in color.  These flowers bloom in the late spring to early summer.  These flowers are great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.  The foliage has a leathery texture, with a slightly glossy appearance.  They emerge in the spring in a bright red color, maturing to a deep brownish-red in the summertime.  In the fall, the leaves change back to a beautiful bright red color.
