Fat Albert Blue Spruce has excellent pyramidal form with attractive steel blue foliage. It is a cold hardy, grafted Colorado spruce. Good year round interest. This tree is an excellent choice as a specimen tree for any landscape. Plant in mass as a foundation planting or border. Beautiful decorated for a living Christmas tree.

Picea pungens ‘Fat Albert’ grows best in Full Sun. It will grow 25-30′ tall with a spread of 10-12′. Plant in zones 3 to 7. Deer and rabbit resistant. Air pollution tolerant. Drought tolerant once established. Excellent low maintenance tree. Attracts birds.

Easy to grow in average, well drained soil. Grows best in rich, moist soil. Water regularly. Fertilize in early spring before new growth appears. No serious insect or disease problems.
