General Information

Emerald Blue Phlox is a perennial groundcover plant. This plant will have a dense, low growing habit, with flowers held above the foliage. It is a great choice for a variety of landscaping areas. The leaves are small in size, but grow densely, providing great ground coverage. The deep green leaves keep a nice appearance through the growing seasons. The flowers bloom in great abundance, beginning in the late spring. They are a very nice lavender-blue in color. The flowers of the Emerald Blue Phlox are attractive to bees and butterflies!

Phlox subulata ‘Blue Emerald’ will be 4 to 6 inches tall, with a width of 12 to 18 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 2 to 9. Blue Emerald Phlox will tend to grow best in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
