Dotted Blazing Star- Native

General Information

Dotted Blazing Star is a native perennial plant. It has a nice upright form and a good deal of ornamental appeal. This plant is a native of the Great Plains, but is suitable for many areas of the country. It is a great plant for dry landscapes, or areas that require the xeric landscaping. The flower spikes bloom beginning mid-summer, from the top of the spike on down. The flowers have an almost fluffy appearance and attractive pinkish-purple color. The leaves are narrow and arching, with a deep green color.
