Dark Chocolate False Indigo is a perennial plant. This plant will have full, bushy overall growth habit. It would be a nice choice for a variety of landscaping areas. The foliage of the Dark Chocolate False Indigo will be deep green in color. It will give the plant a nice appearance through the growing seasons. The flower spikes will hold very nice dark charcoal to purple flowers. They bloom in abundance typically in the later springtime. The flowers will be attractive to bees and butterflies.

Baptisia ‘Dark Chocolate’ will be 36 to 42 inches tall, with a width of 30 to 36 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. Dark Chocolate False Indigo can grow in full to partial sunlight. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils. Drought tolerant once well established.
