Dappled Willow

General Information

The Dappled Willow is a deciduous shrub. It is moderate in size, reaching up to 6 feet tall. This willow will most typically grow in a more compact and bushy form than other willow shrubs. The ornamental appeal will make it a great choice for many landscaping areas. The leaves of this shrub are narrow and long, up to 4 inches. The foliage will emerge with a pink tint. They will transition to a variegated leaves in colors of creamy white, pink and green. The leaves will then typically change to all green in the summer.

Additional Information

Salix integra ‘Hakura Nishiki’ will reach 4 to 6 feet in height, with a spread of 5 to 7 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 7. Dappled Willow can grow well in full to partial sunlight conditions. It will do well with moderate amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
