General Information

Cinderella Milkweed is a perennial plant. It is a cultivar of the native Swamp Milkweed, sharing many of its characteristics. This plant is a great choice for naturalized areas, perennial beds and a variety of other areas. Cinderella Milkweed has long, narrow foliage, with a deep green color. It will give the plant an attractive appearance through the growing seasons. The large flower clusters bloom abundantly from midsummer to early fall. The flowers have a delightful vanilla fragrance. The flower buds are dark pink, opening to lighter pink in color. The flowers are great for attracting butterflies, bees and a variety of other pollinators.

Asclepias incarnata ‘Cinderella’ will be 3 to 5 feet tall, with a spread of 24 to 36 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Cinderella Milkweed will grow well in full sunlight. It will do well with average to moderate amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
