Cherry Sparks Beardtongue
General Information
Cherry Sparks Beardtongue is a delightful perennial plant. It is perfect for flower beds, borders or ever larger containers. It is a smaller sized plant, growing to 20 inches tall. The stems are green in color, growing in an upright fashion. The leaves are small, with a nice green color all through the growing season. The trumpet shaped flowers bloom in profusion. They are a beautiful bright red color, with a white throat. The flowers bloom over a long season from late spring to the late summertime. Spent flowers should be removed to encourage later season reblooming. These flowers are quite attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds.
