Burgundy Blast False Indigo is a perennial plant. It is a larger sized plant, reaching up to 3.5 feet tall. This plant will have an upright form, with flowers held above the foliage. The Burgundy Blast False Indigo will be a great choice for a variety of different landscaping areas. The leaves are blue-green in color. They provide the plant with a nice appearance through the growing seasons. The flowers will bloom in great abundance in the late spring to early summer. They are burgundy-purple in color, with a yellow accent. The flowers are great for attracting butterflies and other pollinators.

Baptisia ‘Burgundy Blast’ will be 3 to 3.5 feet tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. Burgundy Blast False Indigo will grow well in full to part sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils. Once established, it has nice drought tolerance.
