Bluecrop Blueberry

General Information

The most vigorous producing berry for the mid west.  The light blue fruit is large and has exceptional flavor.  Bluecrop ripens mid season. Bell shaped white flowers add to the ornamental interest of Bluecrop.  Can be used as a hedge. Dark green leaves and stems take on a reddish hue in fall. Remove flowers during the year of planting and one year following to increase vegetation growth. Generally grown for its fruit crop.

Additional Information

Vaccinium corybosum ‘Bluecrop’ should be grown in Full Sun.  It will grow 4-6′ tall with a spread of 4-5′.  Plant in zones 3 to 7. Bluecrop is self-fertile, but cross pollination produces better berries. Attracts birds and butterflies.
