General Information

Blue Shag Eastern White Pine is an evergreen shrub. This is cultivar of the much larger Eastern White Pine. It will have a compact, rounded overall growth habit. The needles will be longer and soft to the touch with a nice blue-green color. The Blue Shag Eastern White Pine will generally be slower growing at upwards of 6 inches each year. The controlled habit and visual appeal will be a great choice for a variety of landscaping spaces.

Additional Information

Pinus strobus ‘Blue Shag’ will reach 4 to 6 feet tall, with a similar overall width. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 7. Blue Shag Eastern White Pine will grow well in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils.
