General Information
Black Watchman Hollyhock is a great choice for your garden. They plants are quite tall, growing 5 to 7 feet tall, with a nice vigorous growth habit. The foliage is a nice deep green in color. The flowers grow in abundance, growing upwards of 3 to 4 inches wide. They will be a beautiful dark maroon to black in color. This heirloom variety of hollyhock will be a great choice for your landscape. Each of the packets will contain approximately 60 to 65 seeds.
Additional Information
The seeds can be started early indoors or directly in the garden. Seeds should be spaced 6 to 8 inches apart, covered a half inch deep by soil. Once plants are established, thin about 18 to 24 inches apart to allow for full growth potential. Hollyhocks may bloom in the first season, but may flower much better in the second season.
