General Information

‘The long, gray green leaves of the Black Knight Butterfly Bush grow on tall, upright stems forming a large shrub. From late summer to late fall, spikes of deep violet-purple blooms adorn the plant. The Black Knight is a vigorous, hardy shrub.  Use the lovely, flower stems in cut flower arrangements.  Black Knight will make a beautiful addition to your perennial garden. Best interest when planted in mass groupings.  Wonderful for your butterfly or cottage garden.

Additional Information

Buddleia daividii ‘Black Knight’ grows best in Full Sun.  It will grow 6-8′ tall with a spread of 4-6′. Plant in zones 5 to 10. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Care & Shipping Notes

Easy to grow in average, well drained soil.  Will NOT tolerate wet soil. Can be grown in clay. No serious insect or disease problems. The Butterfly Bush generally dies back in the winter.  In warmer areas, it should be cut back to encourage more vigorous growth during the next growing season. Remove spent flower spikes to encourage continued blooming.  NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI.
