Wall Germander
General Information
Wall Germander is a shrub like perennial. In warmer climates, it is an evergreen plant, but can experience winter die-back in colder areas. Perfect plant for borders, along pathways or in a variety of landscaping areas. Upright growing, multi-stem plant. Small oval shaped densely growing leaves. They are glossy and dark green in color. Flowers begin to bloom in the late spring to early summer. They are nice shades of pink to purple.
Additional Information
Teucrium chamaedrys grows to a height of 12 to 15 inches, with a spread of 15 to 18 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 9. Wall Germander tends to grow best in full sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It can be trimmed after flowering to promote more compact foliage growth. It is not known to have any serious disease or insect issues.
