Sea Green Juniper

General Information

The foliage of Sea Green Juniper emerges yellow-green and matures to a lovely sea green, and may darken in winter. It has compact form with lovely, arching branches. Foliage maintains good year round interest.  Sea Green is a great choice for a foundation planting. Use as a low border or hedge. Common name: Chinese Juniper.

Additional Information

Juniperus chinensis ‘Sea Green’ grows best in Full Sun. It will grow 4-6′ tall with a spread of 6-8′.  Plant in zones 4 to 9. Heat and cold tolerant. Deer resistant.  Tolerates some drought once established. Tolerates air pollution.  Will grow well in shallow, rocky soil.

Care & Shipping Notes

Easy to grow in average, well drained soil.  Tolerates a variety of soils.  No serious insect or disease problems. Blight may be a problem.  Good cedar-apple rust resistance. NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI. Also, WE NO LONGER SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
