‘Moraine Honeylocust is a variety of honeylocust that produces few to no pods. This large tree features a spreading canopy that is oval shaped. The wood of this fast growing tree does not grow brittle, but remains sturdy. The light green leaves are bipinnately compound and turn yellow gold in fall. Inconspicuous flowers bloom in spring to early summer.
Gleditsia triacanthos ‘Moraine’ grows best in Full Sun to Light Shade. It will grow 30-80′ tall with a spread of 50-70′. Plant in zones 3 to 7. Tolerates wind, heat and some drought. Tolerates air pollution and black walnuts. Deer resistant. The Moraine Honeylocust may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.

Plant in rich, moist soil that is well drained. Leaf spot, canker, witches’ broom, powdery mildew, root rot, mistletoe and rust may be problems for a Honey locust tree.
