Kinkaku Tree Peony
Kinkaku (Golden Temple of Nara) Tree Peony has exotic, fully double, yellow-orange blooms. The huge, ruffled, satiny flowers are very hardy. This popular plant with its old time charm will bloom in Late Spring to Early summer. The fragrant blooms of Kinkaku Tree Peony would make a wonderful addition to a cut flower arrangement. Tree Peonies have woody stems that do not die back in Winter, but will grow into a large shrub. Use as a specimen, mass planting or hedge. The attractive, glossy foliage will last long after the blooms are done.
Paeonia suffruticosa ‘Kinkaku’ needs Full Sun to thrive. It will grow 48-60″ tall with a spread of 36″. Plant in zones 3 to 9. Peonies are deer and rabbit resistant. There are no serious pest or disease problems.
