General Information
Grand Marshall Bee Balm is a great plant that could fit well in many different areas of your landscape. This is a moderate sized perennial plant growing to 20 inches tall and 24 inches wide. It provides a great contrast plant in borders or beds, in many different types of gardens and has a spectacular effect when used in a mass planting. This plant is a great attracter of hummingbirds, butterflies and bees, providing great interest to this plant. This plant grows in an upright fashion, creating a slightly spreading, rounded plant. The foliage is small in size, with a heart shape, tapering to a point at the end. It has a medium green color and a minty fragrance when crushed. In the mid-summer, large reddish- purple flowers, with narrow petals, bloom in abundance all over the plant. The foliage combined the beautiful flowers, creates a great plant for your yard.

Monarda didyma ‘Grand Marshall’ grows to a height of 16 to 20 inches in height, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for climate zones 3 to 9. It can grow in full sun to partial shade. Grand Marshall grows best in rich, well drained soils, with average but consistent amounts of moisture.
