General Information
Diamonds are Forever Hosta is a great plant that could fit well in different areas in your landscape. This is a short, spreading hosta, with very unique foliage. This hosta can grow in full shade, but does benefit from some morning sunlight. This makes it a perfect plant for the northern edge of a home, under a large tree or any area that is mostly shady. Although Hostas are largely known for their foliage, they have beautiful flowers as well. The bell-shaped flowers grow atop stems above the foliage in dark lavender colors. The leaves are broadly oval to heart shaped and are broadly ridged. The colors of these leaves are quite striking. They have a dark green interior with pure white margins that bleed down into the interior of the leaf.

Hosta ‘Diamonds are Forever’ grow to a height of 8 to 10 inches, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. The flower stems grow to a height of 24 inches. It is recommended for climate zones 3 to 9. It can grow in partial to full shade. Diamonds are Forever grows best in well drained soils with moderate amounts of moisture. Although this hosta is largely disease free, it should be checked for slugs, which can damage a hosta if left unchecked.
