General Information

Gorgeous white blooms and vigorous growth habit are characteristics of the David Phlox. Its sturdy stems make it hardy in strong winds and weather. Phlox is a popular plant of many perennial gardeners. Delightful fragrance. 2002 Perennial Plant of the Year. Great choice for mixed perennial beds.  Use as a border, or edging.

Phlox paniculata ‘David’ grows best in Full Sun. It will grow 12-42″ tall with a spread of 24-36″. Plant in zones 3 to 8. Attracts hummingbirds and birds. Deer resistant. Tolerates Black Walnut.

Care & Shipping Notes

Grow in average, well drained soil.  Prefers rich, moist soil. Tolerates clay. Provide good circulation to prevent powdery mildew. Good mildew resistance. Fertilize occasionally to encourage healthy growth. Use mulch in summer to help maintain moisture. Spider mites and other bugs may be pests. Deadhead to prolong bloom time and to prevent reseeding.
